I’ll admit that I had to put aside my feelings about Joe Biden, presidential candidate in order to read and enjoy this novel. If you too can forget that malarkey (sorry, necessary), then I think you’ll enjoy Joe teaming up with a beige suit-wearing former president for a new mystery. Shaffer’s Biden has all of the folksy charm and compassion for his fellow man with gaffes that won’t make you cringe nearly so much as reality. What happens when Obama’s beloved Blackberry goes missing backstage at an event while Michelle is off brunching with Oprah? Well, you’ll have to read to find out.
