And the love story between them is very non-existent. There wasn’t any form of attractiveness I felt, just El’s rudeness. I don’t know how it eventually sped up for a romance, because I didn’t see it. El even then was rude to him.
This is a difficult review to write, as I know the is widely available. But for me, it doesn’t hit the mark in any way. I wish there was more to it than just deadly monsters and the strategy for a graduation has been talked about so much. And I wish the romance was real. But I still want to read the second, just to find out if it saves itself, at least a little bit. If you are looking for a magic school, I recommend Hogwarts.
