When I think of Malcolm Gladwell, the first phrase that comes to mind is “not with the naked eye.” I NEVER DREAMED id grow up to be a SUPER COOL CYCLING MOM SHIRT

At first glance, his work seems well-researched, even visionary at times. Starting with a few counterintuitive insights, he usually ends with an affirmation of consensus, but it is consensus that has been extended by investigation and nuanced enrichment. .

However, at a second look, I’m no longer sure any of these are true. What emerges first are new insights that are nothing more than familiar landmarks, previously imperceptible because of the deliberate application of a point of view; even the apparent certainty of his arguments, an illusion evoked now seems to be the triumph of language over logic, the apparent certainty of his arguments an illusion evoked by the mantra in his stammering prose.
