Urban sports apparel company Ryu Apparel Inc. offered its products through Zappos.com, the company known for selling shoes. Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Zappos is looking to expand its offering in performance wear, so adding Ryu as a brand partner makes perfect sense for both companies.
Zappos is known for its unparalleled level of customer service, with representatives available 24/7. The company is also known for their speedy delivery, which will benefit Ryu customers when shopping through Zappos. Zappos is the only authorized online retailer, other than Ryu.com, that offers Ryu’s apparel.
“Zappos is an industry giant. To be asked to offer our products on such a successful website and help grow our online business is an honor for us.” , Marcello Leone, CEO of Ryu, said in a statement. “It took us just a few minutes to chat with Zappos to agree on this relationship. We’re incredibly excited about the awareness and visibility this will create for Ryu.”
Ryu committed to make significant investment in e-commerce this year according to their June 2019 financial report. In addition, on February 12 of this year, the company closed an unbrokered private placement of $2,863,257 million that included the adoption of 38,176,764 units of the company at a price of 0.075 cents for each unit. Each unit has one common share of the company and one warrant to buy shares. Each warrant is convertible into one common share for 0.15 cents for a period of 3 years. Regarding the private placement, the company paid a cash search fee of $33,101.
